Famous for his corset couture, Lyall Hakaraia learnt his craft of beading, embroidery and moulded leather pieces by working for Idol and Whitaker & Malem giving him a strong foundation in sewing skills and technical knowledge. Later him embarked on his own range of clothing selling at stalls in Camden, Portobello and Spitalfields Markets whilst instigating clothes sales in the US, the Far East and Europe. He showed at both London and Paris fashion weeks and at the same time, worked with the infamous Corsetiere, Mr Pearl's team, learning couture skills and was then commissioned by Boy George which gained notoriety with other celebrities.

Ever since, Lyall has been working and consulting designers including, Jens Laugesen, Anthony Saunders, Alistair Carr, Romp and London Sheepskin.

From 18C gowns, classic corsets and outrageous designs, Lyall can piece together anything you need to suit your events theme. Full quotations and sketches can be provided.
